Recently we worked with a property management company to install a monument sign at the entrance of their subdivision. They had an existing monument sign at a street intersection, but felt they needed more visibility. Together with the customer we looked at the existing monument sign, and the site to see what options we could offer. We also contacted the municipality to see what size sign would be allowed.
Our designers developed a rendering of the sign, which, once our customer approved, was presented to the village planner for permit review. Once approved, we sent our techs to the site to mark the sign location, in order to call in the utilities locators so we could dig and install the posts. Our mason built the stone piers and shortly after, we installed the sign face.
Our customer opted for solar lighting, and we installed an LED ground-mounted light fixture, along with a solar panel and controller which would provide 6 hours of lighting.
The monument sign now directs and identifies the subdivision to those driving past, and enhances the entrance to the property, both during the day and at night.
